One of the main causes of cancer death in America is due to Prostate cancer. Over two million men suffer and die because of this dreadful disease. But with the advancements in medical field, science, and research has reduced the amount of patient succumbing with this disorder is gradually coming down. Cancer treatments are now available. The treatment for prostate cancer is broadly categorized into two ways: systematic therapy, and local therapy. Procedures such as radiation therapy and surgery are some local treatments that are used to cure the disorder in a specific area within the body.

The cancer treatment in which hormone therapy that use agonist is a methodical treatment option usually used when cancer gets convert into metastasis as well as affects different organs. Surgery includes removal of parts or entire prostate gland; this process is called as prostatectomy. Various surgical methods used that include radical perineal prostatectomy, radical retropubic prostatectomy, laproscopy, pelvic lymphadenectomy, TURP, and cryosurgery. Surgery is very common method in the early stage of prostate cancer. The side effect of this surgery includes dry orgasms, urinary incontinence, and impotency. Two different kinds of radiation therapy are available to treat the prostate cancer.
